and proven PING weighting principles have earned the G2i line of putters the praise of professionals and amateurs. The urethane-based blue insert provides a softer feel, and the insert cavity is precision-milled for consistency. The soft, G2i blue grip also enhances feel and control.

G2i Availability

Effective September 1, 2005, the default putter lie angle (Black color code) for ALL PING putters changed from 18° to 20°.

Effective January 1, 2006, PING changed its putter measurement method to align with the method used by the USGA, Appendix II, 1c. The default length will change from 34" to 35" on all PING putters. Most putter models will remain essentially the same length, however putters that are more heel-shafted will be longer.

Forged titanium and tungsten

are combined in the design of the JAS Putters to create maximum forgiveness and a pleasing feel. The positioning of the tungsten—which is significantly heavier than the titanium—on the heel and toe creates an extremely high moment of inertia and low center of gravity.

The tungsten weights are brazed

onto the titanium body prior to the putter undergoing a milling process that includes more than 40 tool changes. This precision machining ensures flat surfaces and perfectly square lines for easy alignment.

Long-time favorites such as the Anser2, B60, Zing2 and Pal2 (all major championship winners) offer the performance and aesthetics of all PING putters, including a solid feel and heel-toe weighting with a low center of gravity. All standard stainless steel putters are treated to a satin finish to resist the scratches that come with normal use.

The material Karsten Solheim chose

for his earliest models—Manganese Bronze—helped define the PING putter. Chosen for its feel and quality attributes, it tarnishes with age to create a distinctive look that symbolizes confidence and trust. These putters are offered with a durable 'baked' satin finish that is resistant to the scratches that occur with normal use.

The Isopur series features a polyurethane

inset for softer feel without compromising feedback. By removing material from the face to create the cavity and distributing it to other areas of the putter, the putter's inertia is increased. The result is a putter that not only feels better, but is also more forgiving on mishits. Isopur 2 models have tungsten weights in the heel and toe to further increase the perimeter weighting.

The IsoForce series features a face insert

consisting of 50 hexagonal-shaped pixels that creates exacting feel and feedback for the golfer.

• IsoForce models have a cast manganese bronze body with an Antique Bronze finish and an insert made from high-grade aluminum pixels.
• IsoForce 2 models have a stainless steel body with a copper pixel insert.

Challenging convention is a tradition

at PING. The Specify Series continued that heritage by offering golfers a putter that was not only custom-fit for their putting strokes, but also custom-fit for look, feel and weight.

By allowing the golfer to choose

from four hosel designs (Anser Design, Flare Tip, Flat Top and Long Neck), three back designs (Anser Back, Zing Back and Ally Back and three weight options (Light, Medium, Heavy), the golfer has 36 different options when selecting a Specify putter.

The face and back are joined

by two stainless steel, cadmium-plated screws that seat into the back. The back is made from a polymer combined with a heavy tungsten powder. The color-coded backs each have varying amounts of tungsten powder to control the weight, and are permanently bonded to the face by a thin layer of very-high-bond adhesive which also enhances feel.

The Specify Series introduced

the Optigraphic Effect—the visual contrast of a stainless steel top line and dark flange. The color contrast increases your ability to align the putter to the target, which translates to confidence over the ball.
